“Argan Oil Dinner: I enjoyed a culinary argan oil dinner at Shuhari in Nishi-Shinjuku. Sushi chef Satoshi Nakajima’s sushi is undoubtedly delicious, but Nakajima’s course is not just sushi; it also has a wide variety of appetizers that are very delicious. He uses SULA NYC’s culinary argan oil for appetizers such as salmon and tofu dip, and muzuku vinegar, abalone and a slightly unusual chawanmushi with aonori seaweed, to create exquisite dishes.
“I became a sushi chef late, so I want to differentiate myself from traditional sushi restaurants, so I’m also devising new appetizers. Argan oil is the best seasoning that goes well with Japanese food,” said Nakajima. Misao said the delicious dishes really puts into practice the spirit of “Shuhari” (protecting tradition, destroying it, and breaking away from it to establish your own world).

Author Misao Itoh organized another wonderful Culinary Argan Oil lunch using SULA NYC’s Organic Culinary Argan Oil, at French Restaurant L’ESSOR (www.lessor.jp).
Misao Itoh said “The course started with a pumpkin mousse flavored with culinary argan oil, and as always, Chef Wei’s artistic cooking was delicious, beautiful, and enjoyable until the very end”. Chef Wei said, “Culinary Argan Oil brings out the umami of the ingredients without interfering with them”.
