We had the pleasure of dining with Chef Aretha of
last week, and the food was beyond expectations.
We tried a little bit of everything, and every bite hit. The jerk chicken was on point, the mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful, the yams were buttery and savory, and the cabbage tasted just like Nana made it. The whiting fish was fresh out the grease and a definite win, and the rasta pasta was so good we wished there was more.
We topped it all off with a thick, flavorful carrot cake that was subtly sweet and delicious.
Overall, we give her kitchen a 4 out of 5, because perfection wouldn’t be fair to everyone else.
Professional service, prompt delivery, and food made with real soul. Shoutout to Chef Aretha — we’re definitely looking forward to the next plate.
