GLP-1 medications can be incredibly helpful tools, but because they slow gastric emptying and reduce appetite, your nutrition has to become more intentional.

When you’re eating less overall, every calorie matters.

I encourage my clients to focus on foods that help support:
✔️ protein intake
✔️ fiber intake
✔️ blood sugar balance
✔️ muscle retention
✔️ energy and overall nourishment

If you’re on a GLP-1 journey, congratulations on taking a step toward improving your health. ❤️

Welcome to the side of Instagram where your health journey and cultural foods coexist…

Because you shouldn’t have to choose between your culture and your wellness goals.

That’s why I wrote the cookbook, Abuela’s Plant-Based Kitchen, to celebrate the flavors we grew up with in a way that feels nourishing, comforting, and realistic for everyday life.

Peptide hype is everywhere right now. But before you spend hundreds of dollars on the latest wellness trend, let’s talk about what they actually are.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids (the building blocks of protein) that act like messengers in the body. Some help regulate things like blood sugar, muscle growth, skin health, and inflammation.

But here’s what I really think…

If you’re not:
✨ nourishing your body consistently
✨ prioritizing sleep
✨ managing stress
✨ lifting weights or staying active
✨ supporting blood sugar with balanced meals

…no supplement is going to “fix” your metabolism, hormones, or energy levels.

Can peptides help in certain situations? Possibly. But they should support a healthy lifestyle — not replace one.

The wellness industry profits from keeping women confused and constantly searching for the next quick fix. My goal is to help you understand what’s evidence-based, what’s hype, and what actually makes sense for YOUR body.

And here’s why I’m telling you to try this…

This 1-pot Mexican-inspired casserole takes less than 30 minutes to make and supports blood sugar, energy, fullness, and hormone health all in one meal.

Rice + beans create a complete protein, while the fiber from the beans and veggies helps keep you satisfied longer and supports more stable energy throughout the day.

And don’t forget to add avocado for healthy fats and extra flavor 🙌🏽

If you’re ready to make healthy eating feel simpler and more sustainable during menopause, comment “MEALS” and I’ll send you more balanced meal ideas 💚

Today, I turn 45… and I feel better now than I did at 30. ✨

I’m 17 lbs lighter, stronger, sleeping better, building muscle, and finally working with my body instead of against it.

No quick fixes.
Just:
✔️ plant-based meals
✔️ prioritizing protein + fiber
✔️ strength training
✔️ sleep
✔️ consistency

Perimenopause isn’t the end of feeling good in your body. You just have to support it differently. 🤍

Comment “HORMONES” and I’ll send you the exact strategy I’m using to feel better at 45 than I did at 30!

You’re not meant to do this on your own and I’m here to support you!

Comment DIABETES and I’ll send you the exact meal plan I’ve used to help hundreds of women (including my mom) manage their diabetes without giving up carbs.

This is what I see with my clients :

Skipping meals or just having coffee in the morning
Grabbing whatever’s easiest for lunch
Trying to make dinner “healthy”

But by 3pm… the crash hits
And at night? the cravings take over

So you think you need to be stricter
Cut carbs
Start over on Monday

But it’s not that.

It’s your blood sugar.

Managing your diabetes isn’t about cutting out foods it’s about structure:

✔ eating consistently
✔ building balanced, plant-forward meals
✔ pairing carbs with fiber, protein, and healthy fats

This is how you improve your numbers, support your energy, and actually feel in control again, without giving up carbs!

If your numbers feel all over the place, start here.

Comment START and let’s talk! I’ll share simple tools and strategies you can start using as soon as we hang up. Trust me when I say, managing your diabetes is easier than you think. ❤️
