Recipe
Ingredients
1 store-bought or homemade deep-dish pizza dough
1 lb lean ground beef
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
2.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup thick pizza sauce or marinara
10-12 pepperoni slices
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Charred asparagus and sliced yellow bell peppers for serving
Instructions
Brown Beef: Sauté the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until fully browned; drain extra fat.
Press Dough: Roll and press your pizza dough firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a greased deep-dish cake pan or cast-iron skillet.
Layer Filling: Scatter the seasoned ground beef across the bottom, then pile the shredded mozzarella cheese high over the meat.
Top Sauce: Spread the thick pizza sauce evenly over the cheese layer, then press the pepperoni slices into the surface.
Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (425°F) for 20-25 minutes until the crust is a deep golden brown and the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Lift a slice with a spatula to show off that incredible cheese pull, and plate beside your charred asparagus and peppers.
