Elsie Q is named for my grandmother, Elsie Quig, who always believed in my passion and dreams. Elsie was a stay-at-home mom in Michigan. My ultimate goal is to employ stay-home mothers like her to help me sew.

This weekend we’ve got back to back opportunities for you to get some serious Christmas shopping done! Elsie Q will be at for Small Business Saturday on November 26th, and at on Sunday, November 27th! I’ve been working myself to the bone so you can have lots of options for holiday gifts this year, so come check it out, say hi, and get your Christmas shopping done early!

I’ve been working non-stop getting ready for this weekend. Lots of new adult and children’s skirts, new handkerchiefs for dogs and humans, and I’ve got a whole bunch of hand embellished screen printed children’s shirts, onesies, and tea towels! I will be at booth L64 (marked with the red star) and I am so looking forward to seeing all your beautiful faces and enjoying a weekend with other artists and makers from the area! September 23-25 in Ferndale Michigan! Drop everything and come have some fun!

🐸🕸🦇🎆🔮🪄I’m feeling witchy tonight!! 🪄🔮🎆🦇🕸🐸Stop by the tomorrow 7am - 2pm and check out our new halloween themed skirts (for kids and adults), dog bandanas, and adult handkerchiefs!! New this week we have kid skirts in 3T and 5T, in addition to our regularly stocked kids size 6-10. All skirts can be taken in or let out at the waist!
I am also excited to announce that I will be vending at next weekend! I’ll have even more spooky garments and witchy accessories for everyone in your family!

Tooth fairy pillows, tea towels, and tote bags, oh my!! This summer has been all about color and bold prints, and who doesn’t need more of that in their life, regardless of the time of year?! Brighten your day with a fun, screen printed and hand painted tea towel, or take your color on the go with our newest tote bag design! Even though I call them “tooth fairy pillows”, they contain a multitude of uses. Slip a sweet note in there for your kiddo to find, or use it as a pillow for their favorite stuffed animal at bedtime! In all my years as a nanny, I always have found that there’s never a wrong moment for a cute little pillow. ☺️ Hope to see you at the tomorrow, 7am-2pm!

Since I won’t be at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market this weekend, here’s a snippet of one of my favorite moments from last weekend! This group of wonderful young ladies came to my booth, fell in love with my succulents planted in unique and vintage mugs, and as per the agreement, they got to pick which little toy they wanted to accompany their new plant babies! I love having people, as I say, “step into my office” (come around to “my side” of the table), to customize their purchases or to take a closer look at what I am offering. It’s the perfect place to spread out and get creative! You too are welcome in my office, wether it’s to make a tough onesie decision, or customize your succulent planter! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you at next weeks Market (August 13th)!

came to the market already decked out in Elsie Q!! It is so fun to see people wearing my clothes in their everyday lives. I actually had a few people tell me today that they wear my skirts all the time! It feels good :) At the end of the day, that is my goal, to create comfortable clothing that you love to wear! Thank you to everyone who came to the market yesterday! I won’t be able to participate in the market next weekend, but I’ll see you the weekend after that!

Dog bandanas are on sale this weekend only at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market! Saturday, 7am - 2pm, normally priced $10 or two for $18, now $8, two for $14! It’s a great time to get your pup(s) some new threads!

Sometimes a fabric just calls your name. That’s what happened to our new friend from Texas last weekend at the Farmers Market!! She saw this artichoke fabric and just had to have it, she even wore it out of our booth!! It brings such a big smile to my face when something I made with my own two hands finds it’s “forever home” on someone else’s body, it truly warms my soul. 💕💕 She is holding up another skirt looking for its new owner, made with beautiful fabric featuring woodland creatures! If you or someone you know is a lover of nature and forest animals, this skirt might be meant for you!! Come check it out at the this Saturday!
