Three interior design pieces that do the heavy lifting.

In our Brooklyn Heights project, a sculptural floor lamp draws the eye upward and softens the room’s architecture, a dramatic marble coffee table introduces movement, and visual weight, and a deeply comfortable sofa anchors the entire composition. Together, they create the balance we’re always chasing: warm but refined, statement-making but effortless.

These are the pieces clients save, guests ask about, and designers never stop thinking about. ✨

Details below. ↓

• A Sculptural Floor Lamp: The easiest way to add height, warmth, and personality to a room.

• A Marble Centerpiece: One oversized stone piece can instantly elevate an entire living space.

• A Fluffy Sofa with Great Bones: Deep enough to sink into, designed enough to earn compliments. Look for thoughtful details that reveal themselves over time.

But I neeeeed these little things…

The smallest details are never really small 🪞 They’re the pieces that hold the design together, like the unexpected curve of a candlestick, the texture of a ceramic, the artwork that makes you pause for a second longer.

To create a welcoming home, it’s about the layer you add last, the one that feels personal, a little indulgent, a little unnecessary… and completely essential.

Our recommendation? Don’t overlook the playful object, the sculptural accent, the treasure that makes you smile. Those are the moments that turn a room into a cherished space.

Stone selection is one of the most important parts of the design process — and one of our favorites! Here’s how we’re approaching our Cambridge Project with intention with our Massachusetts vendor

Life as an interior designer…

…means once a renovation starts, the updates never stop. We visted our Cambridge Project last week to walk the site with our trusted GC, , and check in on progress. This one is all about layering in character while staying true to the bones of the home. A little charm, a lot of functionality.

Designing this space for our clients has been such a dream, and we can’t wait to keep sharing the evolution as it all comes to life!

This warm loft apartment in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn was such a joy to design! ✨it was one of those projects where everything just clicked.

The two-bedroom home opens into a connected living, dining, and kitchen space where we took inspiration from the original wood beams and hardwood floors. To celebrate the loft’s industrial character we brought in new interventions to feel light, integrated, and effortless like the black steel framed partition to create a new bedroom.

A softened mid-century modern language carries throughout, with rattan lighting and terracotta tones with subtle pops of green layered throughout to heighten the natural richness of the wood architecture. A transitional workspace stands out, defined by a locally sourced vintage library card catalog cabinet that acts as both a functional piece and sculptural gesture, grounding the space in character and history while reinforcing the overall intent to highlight, rather than compete with, the home’s original finishes.

What we love most? It’s a family home that feels as though it has evolved with grace rather than been composed all at once,  rich with patina and personal imprint, yet every element is precisely considered, quietly architectural, and resolved with an almost sculptural restraint, where beauty lives in the balance between ease and exactitude.

For those who appreciate a quieter, more grounded approach, you’ll feel right at home here.

Our Brooklyn Heights project was conceived as a study in balance - a wabi-sabi approach to modern living, where restraint meets richness through materiality. The design is articulated through a nuanced language, layering texture, tonal depth, and organic form with Roman clay walls, sheer linen textiles, rattan lighting, and a statement Calacatta Viola marble.

As a new construction, the architecture offered a clean framework. From there, we developed a spatial narrative by selecting pieces with an emphasis on proportion, negative space, and function.

The intention was to create a calm, grounded environment where every surface and object contributes to a sense of stillness and ease.
