Something new to explore! A Species Between Worlds is an immersive art exhibition that uses an interactive app to promote and provoke introspection about the relationships between technology, nature, and humanity created by artist, author and photographer, John Mack, Founder of Life Calling.

1212-Studio is proud to have designed and built 56* Flicker Free Dimming custom LED light boxes for Griffin Editions throughout this impressive 17,000 square foot exhibition space at 537 West 27th Street, NYC. Go experience this gem of an exhibition now through September 30th!

Congratulations to our friend and esteemed colleague Alfredo Jaar! from - El artista chileno Alfredo Jaar (1956) es el ganador del Hiroshima Art Prize 2018, un reconocimiento que la ciudad de Hiroshima, en Japón, realiza cada tres años a aquellos artistas que a través de su arte han contribuido a la paz mundial.
Alfredo Jaar se enfrenta de manera periodística a los acontecimientos históricos, tragedias y desigualdades sociales que se han producido en todo el mundo a partir de investigaciones y entrevistas exhaustivas. Transmite a las audiencias temas sociales, políticos y humanitarios a través de la presentación de su trabajo en espacios públicos, fotografía, cine e instalaciones que apelan a los cinco sentidos junto con el uso de espacios construidos.
Durante sus casi cuarenta años de carrera, ha participado en una serie de exposiciones internacionales, incluidas las Bienales de Venecia y São Paulo y Documenta, además de haber expuesto en museos de todo el mundo, lo que le ha valido el reconocimiento internacional. En 2012, se realizó una retrospectiva de su trabajo en tres museos de Berlín, seguida de otra importante retrospectiva en 2014 en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Kiasma en Finlandia. En 2017, protagonizó su propio documental, "El Lamento de las Imágenes", que pudimos ver en Barcelona gracias al .
