In the long-standing tradition of bronzing baby's shoes--memorializing the feet that did the walking--Romey + Remus pays homage to the hands that did the pushing with our iconic gold leafed bronze Love Handles.

Keep the memories of the miles traversing the landscape between home, playgrounds, playdates and gymboree class close 'at hand'--pun intended. Long-past the expiry of the stroller's wheels our bronze handles will commemorate that magical moment in time when the pavement was yours + baby's open road. In our sentimental view, the blip of the magical stroller years was far too brief! ;(

In anticipation of the centennial of the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, Romey + Remus is proud to present our interpretation of August Rodin's famous sculpture of Vaslav Nijinsky, dancing the role of the Faun.

The ground-breaking Rite of Spring, first preformed at theatre des Champs-Élysées in Paris in May of 1913, was said to have caused near riots among outraged audience members.

Our bronze tabletop sculpture depicts Nijinsky in an action pose, preparing to leap. Larger than Rodin’s original, our figure stands 11 inches tall. Still in the last stages of the wax model we anticipate a first cast within a few weeks. It will be featured in the Desk and Tabletop collection.

Sculptor Saint Clair Cemin has his inaugural exhibition at the Paul Kasmin Gallery Sept. 6 through Oct. 13. also beyond the walls of the gallery, Saint Clair Cemin on Broadway--not that Broadway--but the malls of Broadway from 70th St. to 168th St. I have been following his work for 25 years and always feel grateful to be informed by his approach to sculpture and use of materials. check it out.

Raw piece awaiting finishing. First step: 'de-gating'--the removal of the artery/feed for the molten metal. Once the jagged gate on the shoulder is gone, surface work can begin.
