Time to hit pause!

I've spent the last few weeks writing about paying attention to your energy and actually listening when your body tells you something.

So...apparently it's time for me to take my own advice. ;)

This week's Feng Shui Friday is about permission, guilt, knowing when you've done enough and what happens when you wait a little too long to listen.

And then I'm officially exiting stage left for the summer and will be back on September 25th for the New, New Year!

Have an awesome rest of your summer :)

Do you usually wait for others to give you permission to do something? I don’t mean getting permission to go somewhere or to speak to someone. It’s a bit sneakier than that. I’m talking about giving yourself permission to take a break. If you’re an ambitious woman, you probably know exactly ...

Have you ever had one of those days where you know exactly what you should be doing... but you just, can't?

If you're ambitious, chances are you've had that little voice tell you that you need more discipline or that you're just lazy.

I've been thinking a lot about those days lately, especially after one of my own not stellar weeks. What if we've been judging these dips in energy all wrong?

In this week's Feng Shui Friday, I share why I think you DON'T need more discipline but rather, something else.

When was the last time you took a real break?

This week's Feng Shui Friday was inspired by a client whose story completely stopped me in my tracks. It was a reminder that your energy isn't meant to operate at the same pace all year long.

What if your style isn't as original as you think?

We all like to think our homes reflect our own personal taste. But what if some of your preferences were inherited long before you chose your first sofa or paint color?

In this week's Feng Shui Friday, I explore the different ways we're influenced by our environment and how recognizing those influences can help you better understand your own style.

We tend to think that the goal of Feng Shui is to create beautiful homes. Yes, that definitely can be true, but what does the world "beautiful" actually mean? Does your personal decor sense pass the Feng Shui test?

If you've ever wondered whether your taste holds up to Feng Shui standards, or whether there even are Feng Shui standards, you'll find out in this week's Feng Shui Friday.

What a Feng Shui consultant does during a heatwave

I know a lot about environment. It’s my “office” every day. I write about it, speak about it, live it. But this week during the Parisian heatwave, I got a firsthand taste of what really being in my environment felt like, in a way that I hadn’t before. When temperatures are in the triple digi...

I’ve moved a lot in my life. NYC boroughs, states and eventually an ocean.

And every time, I ask myself the same question: what comes with me and what stays behind?

Funny enough, I realized that the heaviest things we carry aren’t always physical.

As we head into the summer solstice, I’ve been thinking about what I’d like to feel lighter about and thought you might enjoy reflecting on that too.

New on this week’s Feng Shui Friday >

There are two types of people: the ones who declutter before a move so they move fewer things, have an easier move and feel a true reset in their new space. Then there are those who pack every item up, move it all to their new space and decide later what stays and what goes....

It started over 20 years ago in my tiny NYC apartment and just happened again in Paris.

At the time, I thought I was dealing with a problem in my home. What I eventually discovered expanded not only my business, but also my understanding of Feng Shui and what we call our "environment."

This week's Feng Shui Friday explores what happened and how it changed the way I practice Feng Shui today.

I'm excited to share something new! I've created a new monthly feature called The Style & Energy Journal.

It's a place where I'll share observations from the worlds of design, beauty, energy, culture and all the little things Feng Shui.

For Issue No. 1, I'm exploring something I've been noticing for years: The Beige Paradox.

Have a read and after, I'd love you know your thoughts and where you land.

You can read the first issue here: https://fengshuicreative.com/the-style-energy-journal-the-beige-paradox/interior-design/

Whoops, announcing this week’s Feng Shui Friday blog post late because ironically, I became irrationally irritated by my own apartment again (using the canicule or heat wave as part of my excuse), and needed to go calm myself down first 😭

I talk about how women like us all do the exact same thing when life starts feeling mentally loud and emotionally off.

The other day, I felt really annoyed. I was in my apartment working and suddenly everything started irritating me, which honestly annoyed me even more because technically nothing was wrong. My apartment wasn’t dirty, nobody had upset me, work was fine. Life was fine and yet I felt like my entire b...
