One of my favorite maker’s markets, Field + Supply, was last month. It felt more fashion-forward than ever, but I still found some beautiful items for the home and made great connections with the talented artisans and makers (which is really what it’s all about!). And for the first time… I found scented home items that just might meet my standards for health. I’m checking them out!

I’m excited to share that DesignGLXY is featured in the May/June issue of Luxe Interiors + Design!

We had an inspiring time exploring the A&D Building with sourcing products that reflect our love of nature and resonate with our biophilic design work. From textured rugs to sculptural fixtures and natural finishes, inspiration was everywhere.

Highlights included sculptural hardware, organic textures, and natural finishes from Ferguson Home, Edward Fields, Tania Bulhões, True Residential, Carlisle Floors, and B&B Italia. Thank you to for spotlighting our process!

Everywhere I turned in Milan, I noticed the circle reimagined in various forms—sculptural, soft, and full of movement. Organic and nature-inspired designs giving the impression of movement were everywhere, especially in outdoor lighting, which seemed almost alive. I’m excited to find these new applications of biophilia for upcoming projects. Thank you for following my recap of Milan! Fino alla prossima volta!

I was fascinated to see how molten metal is transformed with precision to become the jewelry of our homes and spaces. These parts and pieces represent a dedication to artistry and innovation.

A Year as ASID NY Metro President – Part IIII

Wrapping up my recap as Chapter President, I’m overcome with gratitude for the moments, milestones, and memories that have defined this year. From the hard work and dedication to the successes and celebrations, this journey has left an indelible mark on my life.

Thank you to every single one of you who uplifted our chapter, making it the vibrant community it is today.

The year ended on several high notes, with an inspiring visit to Grace Farms, a private screening at the magnificent Steinway Piano Hall in Midtown Manhattan, a private tour of the Real Simple Showhouse with Fisher&Paykel and the Brownstone Boys and my final chapter meeting at the elegant BoConcept showroom with Design Spec. The festivities culminated with our Annual General Meeting, where I had the privilege of honoring the President’s Award recipients and swearing in a fabulous new Board of Directors for 2024–2025.

Serving as ASID NY Metro President has been a tremendous experience. Here’s to the power of community and collaboration. I can’t wait to see what 2025 brings to ASID NY Metro—cheers to the New Year!

A year as ASID NY Metro President - Part II. I’m continually inspired by the energy and collaboration that defined the chapter’s incredible journey. Together, we united a vibrant community, brought to life through memorable events and shared experiences across three boroughs.

We ventured to Queens for a hands-on tour of Coystikan and we shared highlights from our Paris Experience at the Kravet showroom at the D&D Building. The Benjamin Moore showroom hosted an informative CEU with Wendy Estela, Esq. In Brooklyn, we has a private tour of Industry City with Oasiq. Back in Manhattan, Room & Board welcomed us for an important panel discussion in partnership with Grace Farms and Material Bank.

At the Vermont Quarries showroom, we launched our first Design Experts Reveal event, exchanging knowledge and inspiration with peers. As spring blossomed, we celebrated ASID members Barbara Ostrom and Vanessa DeLeon with a private tour of the Kips Bay Designer Showhouse with ASID CT.

Each event reflected the heart of our chapter—a community built on collaboration, learning, and celebration. Truly, it’s the remarkable people and inspiring venues that made these moments unforgettable.

As I take a moment to reflect on the past year and a remarkable tenure as ASID NY Metro President, I am deeply grateful for the meaningful connections and extraordinary collaborations that transformed a whirlwind year into a beautiful collection of memorable events and moments of celebration for our community and the industry as a whole.

These are some of the extraordinary people and places that brought these memories to life.

We began my term as president at the gorgeous Natuzzi Showroom, and from there, embarked on the annual Veterans & Virgins tour in High Point. We hosted our CEU Summit at 200 LEX, and our festive Holiday Party at the True Residential showroom. The Interior Design Hall of Fame Awards were a grand celebration of the Best of our Industry. The first chapter meeting of 2024 found us at Lexington Home Brands, where we feted Paris. The ASID Paris Experience Tour was a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

And that was just the first four months! Thank you to everyone who made it unforgettable! Stay tuned for more of my journey as ASID NY Metro President 2023-2024.
