Renee Keil is an artist, actress, director and choreographer living in Pittsburgh in the summer and Stuart Fl in the winter. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where she studied dance and theater. As a theater artist, Renee has been heard in several commercial voice overs and industrials, and has acted in many area productions. Renee has worked as a director and/or choreographer for

Duquesne University, The University of Pittsburgh, Penn State Altoona, Starlight Productions and other local companies. She is a retired dance and theater educator having spent most of her teaching career at Chartiers Valley HS. She also taught dance in the pre-college musical theatre program at Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, Renee is concentrating on her “visual arts”; painting in watercolor, pastels and oils. She is a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, Pittsburgh Water Color Society, Pittsburgh Pastel Artists, McMurray Art League, Garrett County Arts Council, Martin County Arts Council and the Martin Artisans Guild. With her paintings, she hopes to continue depicting pictures of our human experiences...in a some what “theater” of the soul.

Great news! Two of my paintings have gone off to new homes thanks to Martin Artisans‘s Guild, the Palm Room Gallery and Martin County open studio tour. “Endangered”, the painting of the manatee, was done in mixed media on an old sea chart showing the waterway between Vero Beach and Jupiter Beach Florida. Stuart, is right where the star is located in the lower right hand part of the painting. The other painting, “Sunrise at Jensen Beach” sold to a local Stuart couple. It’s hard to let go of your “children”, but it’s nice that they have found a new home. artist

I will be having a free drawing for an original 11 x 14 “ sailboat painting or a print of an old favorite. All those who stop are able to drop their name into a hat and the winner will be pulled Sunday at closing! Oh yeah, I also do custom denim jackets! Fun!

I will be showing my work at the Artists Nook on Kindred, (Studio 9) right near the Stuart Post Office. We will be open 10-5 both Saturday and Sunday!. Two great art experiences in Stuart! Tonight is the Preview Exhibition at the beautiful Elliott museum for the Martin Artisans Guild’s Open Studio Tour (Feb 20, 21) .. The event goes from 5:30-7:30 and will feature the work of 28 artists, an amazing appetizer table, bar, and music. I will be showing my newest piece “Mother and Child”. *Also, Arts Fest will take place this weekend! This great event is centered in the Cultural Courthouse District on SE Ocean Blvd. Get out and see some ART!

There are 2 big Art Happenings in Stuart this week, both with Martin Artisans Guild. The first is Wednesday evening at the Palm Room Gallery for the Kaleidoscope Meet the Artists event and the second is The Open Studio Tour Preview Exhibit at the beautiful Elliot Museum on Hutchinson Island. Both go from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.. Come visit me there and see all of the gorgeous art by this talented group!
These paintings are at the Palm Room Gallery at Harbour Bay Plaza. I will be showing my new piece “Mother and Child” at the Elliot.

you are in or near Stuart Florida, come to the opening of MartinArtisans Guild’s Kaleidoscope Exhibition this coming Wednesday evening from 5:30 - 7:30 at the Palm Room Gallery in Harbour Bay Plaza. I am honored to to have three paintings in the exhibit:Coral Implosion,

I had the BESTest time ever with this little princess. Every day was special in Olive’s World. I love her soooo much. I have to admit that her old Gigi had trouble keeping up both physically and intellectually but wouldn’t have traded the time with her for anything! Thanks to all of the help from E, Sissy, Bubba and Kate.
