"Who ever said that pleasure wasn't functional?" - Charles Eames Calico Wallpaper is a designer of bespoke wallpaper.

Founded
in Brooklyn, New York in 2013 by creative and life-partners Rachel
and Nick Cope, our process combines artisanal methods from the
decorative arts with innovative digital technologies. The result is an
entirely customized and non-repeating wall mural. We aim to raise wallpaper to the status of art through their original use of gilded metallic colors and a buoyant style which creates depth and
movement. Our company has worked with a global roster of leading designers and architects. We work closely with our clients to realize their design vision to achieve dramatic and exclusive installations.

Estuary began as a series of original watercolor paintings, with pigment left to bleed, settle, and layer organically before being translated into Calico Wallpaper’s signature mural format.

Presented in six colorways, Brackish, Confluence, Estuarine, Sounding, Widelight, and Undertow, each palette offers a distinct interpretation of the collection’s exploration of water, migration, memory, and the evolving meaning of home.

A dream of an evening celebrating the launch of Estuary, Ahluwalia’s debut wallpaper collection for Calico Wallpaper. Guests from the interior design and fashion worlds gathered to celebrate the new collection at an intimate dinner inside NoMad London’s private dining room.

Inspired by migration, memory, and the evolving meaning of home, Estuary translates Priya Ahluwalia’s distinctive visual language into an immersive collection of wallcoverings.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special evening, to Priya and the Ahluwalia team for an extraordinary collaboration, and to NoMad London for its hospitality.

Last night, we celebrated the opening of CONCIERGE by BEVERLY 1975 NEW YORK CITY in London, part of Brompton Design District’s 2026 programme, Perfectly Imperfect.

Our Cadence wallpaper, designed by Athena Calderone, joins a considered collection of textiles, ceramics, lighting and objects that celebrate design, hospitality and the rituals of everyday life.

Thank you to Beverly Nguyen for including Calico Wallpaper in this special gathering and for bringing together such a wonderful creative community in London.

CONCIERGE is on view at The Lavery, 2–4 Cromwell Place, London SW7 2JE, open daily through September 20.
