A shared bathroom for two daughters needed to do more than just look pretty. We designed it to feel feminine without being overly youthful, and finishes that can grow with them for years to come.

I grew up sharing a bathroom with my sister, so I know firsthand a few things that help keep the peace: two dedicated vanity spaces and plenty of storage.

A shared bathroom for two daughters needed to do more than just look pretty. We designed it to feel feminine without being overly youthful, and finishes that can grow with them for years to come.

We renovated the guest bathroom first, so when it was time to redo the bedroom, we wanted the spaces to complement each other rather than match. Bc matching…no thanks.
We used two distinct shades of green paint between the rooms, then incorporated warm tones in various elements in both rooms. The bathroom has a spa-like ambiance, while the bedroom embraces an organic feel.

We chose to also build out the framing on the right side of the window for symmetry. Why do you think it wasn’t done before??

‘Designing for spaces to be lived in’ isn’t something I just say, it’s truly an integral part of my approach to design. For this bench cushion, one side is a faux leather vinyl - so our four legged friend can bird watch all day. The other side is a to withstand everyday life (stay tuned to see the other side!)

With almost every one of our designs, each room starts with one inspiration piece.
For this kitchen, the transformation all started with the clients’ love of black countertops.
The honed negresco granite creates visual interest, does a great job of hiding all the messes, and is super durable.
We balanced the room to keep it bright with the paint, cabinets, and backsplash.
