Baluchi rugs are from the nomadic tribe of the Baluch people. These rugs typically feature darker colors primarily red and brown. Like most nomadic rugs, they were produced on unsophisticated looms at smaller sizes. The most commonly used design is an all-over pattern, with a geometric border. They are usually made from wool and goat hair.

Hamadan rugs woven in a large area around the town of Hamadan, near Tehran. Because they are made in such a large area by so many villages, the styles vary greatly. The most common styles are floral and geometric in nature, with hexagonal or diamond shaped medallions, with corner design. All-over patterns are also common in Hamadan rugs. Red and beige are the most common colors, and the foundations are typically single-wefted.
