Casa Eterna. The dining room.

A conversation between structure and movement.

Tobia Scarpa designed Pigreco chair in 1959,
a triangle that gives a static object the sense of space.

Lindsey Adelman found the wild spirit within Mondrian’s rigour,
brass rods that dip and dangle with the force of gravity.

Beside the table, Promemoria Agharti.
Bubbles and bumps in perfect Euclidean harmony.

Every object in this room begins with a rule.
And then finds a way to breathe within it.

On the wall, Marie De Decker’s Further Than Here.
Lines, voids and light drawn from living systems.
Branching structures. Organic rhythms.
Gold that carries memory as much as it carries light.

The room does not resolve this tension.
It lives inside it.

New York apartments have always known how to dress.
This one had something to say.

860 Fifth Avenue.

A material board tells a story before a single wall is touched.

This one began with Misha Formosa in Saffron. Hand-painted wallpaper where up to four layers of colour build a backdrop that exists somewhere between photography and dream.
A surreal stage set. A room within a room.

From there, a conversation between pattern and craft:
ALPI frise. Promemoria beige velvet.
Dedar jacquard with geometric depth.
White quartz threaded with gold.
Porro patinated metal alongside lacquered finish.
And a custom dining table inlaid with blue glass.

Sky Harbour, Phoenix.

The desert speaks in textures.

Stone that has been sitting in the sun for a century.

Metal that carries its warmth into the room.

Fabric that asks you to stay.

And on the wall, legends caught beside the plane,
on the steps, in the air.
Arriving or departing. It is never quite clear.

53 West, New York.

Pâte de verre, a glassmaking technique older than modernism.
Stefan Leo made it into something that has no contemporary equivalent.

What sits on a bronze-patinated base is not a table surface.
It is something closer to a contained universe,
depth without bottom, light without source.

This is not furniture.
This is an object that happens to be functional.

Each piece exists only once.
Color, base, proportion — every element made to order, never repeated.

There are rooms that hold only what is visible.
And there are rooms that hold something else entirely.

Pâte de verre - a glassmaking technique older than modernism, in the hands of Stefan Leo becomes something without contemporary equivalent.
Not a surface. An object with a universe contained inside it.

Sigalit Landau spent years making work that stays with you longer than you expect.

We did not choose these for the room.
We chose them for the person who would live in it.

Some interiors are designed to be looked at.
Others ask you to stay a little longer.

There is a kind of beauty that does not insist.

ALPI Xilo Ice Frise, a burl texture curated by Piero Lissoni, arrives into the kitchen quietly, carrying the memory of wood grain without any of its weight.

Vancouver stone. Fenix in champagne.
Everything in the same breath, the same temperature of light.

Renovating on Fifth Avenue teaches restraint.
The building has its own conditions.
The materials simply knew what to do.

Few materials. One conversation.

ALPI by Kengo Kuma brings warmth, and something more.
A wood that carries pattern as deliberately as architecture carries line.
Not background. A presence with its own edge.

Travertine brings weight.

Sophie Mallenbranche brings something harder to name.
A wall of woven metal mesh laminated between layers of glass,
shifting with every angle of light,
every movement through the room.

Brass punctuates.
Velvet softens what stone and metal establish.

Together they don’t decorate a space.
They give it a character that takes time to fully read.

A kitchen that doesn’t announce itself.

In an open space where living, dining, and cooking share the same breath - the kitchen has no right to dominate.

ALPI by Kengo Kuma made that possible.
Not a surface. A continuation.

Earth tones that carry light, the same material language as the rest of the interior.

The cabinetry disappears into the space it belongs to.
And the ocean, reflected in the backsplash,
dissolves the last remaining border.

No wall. No limit.
Just light, water, and the sense that the space has no end.

Phoenix, Arizona.
Thirty thousand feet above the desert. The design was done. Now came the moment of truth.

This was our first project with Sky Harbour.

The brief was clear: bring the landscape inside.
Not as a reference. As a presence.

Three boulders sourced from Arizona land.
Metal cactuses. Copper. Turquoise.

A team of six who will probably tell this story for years.
We are grateful to the on-site team whose dedication made this possible,
and whose patience with three very heavy boulders
we will not forget.

The private jet lounge has been receiving its guests for a year and a half now.

The desert, as it turns out, is excellent company.
