Steakhouse Burger Sloppy Joes 🍔🧅
🍽 Ingredients:
🥣 1 cup chicken broth
🥩 2 tablespoons steak sauce
🥄 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
🥩 1 lb ground beef
🧈 2 tablespoons butter
🍄 8 oz mushrooms, thinly sliced
🧅 1 cup white onion, coarsely chopped
🌿 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
🌾 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
🧀 Optional: Slices of cheddar cheese
🍔 Soft hamburger buns, for serving
Steps:
1️⃣ Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and transfer to a bowl; set aside.
2️⃣ Sauté Veggies:
In the same skillet, melt butter, then add onions and mushrooms. Cook for 6–8 minutes until soft and browned.
3️⃣ Season & Thicken:
Stir in steak seasoning and flour. Cook for 1 minute to eliminate the raw flour taste.
4️⃣ Make the Sauce:
Slowly pour in chicken broth, steak sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir well to create a rich sauce and bring to a simmer.
5️⃣ Combine Beef & Sauce:
Return the cooked beef to the skillet and mix until fully coated. Simmer on low for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
6️⃣ Assemble the Sloppy Joes:
Toast the buns, pile the savory beef mixture high, and top with cheddar cheese if desired. Serve hot!
