It’s such a great feeling when you live in your truth and in your purpose.

Many years ago I didn’t like who I was and found it difficult to even love myself most days. It took a lot of inner work, therapy, prayer, & journaling for me to learn who I was and learn why I operated the way I did. I can honestly say during that time I was living a fake life- my smile was fake, my happiness was fake, & my love life was fake; I wasn’t happy even though pictures showed happiness. Things are not always as they seem. Who are we faking for and why?

After all the work I have done to get to this point where I am comfortable in my own skin and loving myself completely and unapologetically, what you see is who you get- no fakeness at all. I am the truest I have ever been with myself and certainly with those who cross my path.

Thank you for the true friendships I’ve made along the way, the family members who continue to be part of my growth journey, & all the people who support That Love NYC 💙

When you’ve healed from past trauma’s you develop thick skin. What you think and how you feel about yourself is the only opinion that matters. I have stated this before and will state it again, other people’s opinion of me is none of my business.
I am by no means a perfect person, but I am good, kind, giving, humble, & most of all a loving person. I definitely will not apologize for disliking those who have wronged and truly hurt me, I will continue to pray that God changes my heart, and ask for forgiveness.

One thing for sure is that God got me and I will continue to be a better version of the person I was yesterday.

We always wish we had 5 more minutes, see you, hear your voice one more time. Why? Spend time with them now, visit them now, call them 50 times a day NOW. Why are you waiting? Are you waiting for regret and guilt to settle in?

I know life takes a hold of us, but we make time for the people and things that are important to us.

Let’s change how and when we get together (when someone is sick or at a funeral). Enjoy your loved ones now in life don’t wait til they die to express your love. Show them how much you love them and tell them everyday!
