Rich Seafood Bisque Bowl 🦞🍤🦑
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 4 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 medium potato, peeled and diced
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup crab meat, shredded
- 1 cup mussels, cleaned
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions:
1. Start by heating olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once hot, add the diced onion and sauté until it becomes translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.
2. Sprinkle in the smoked paprika, stirring well to coat the onion and garlic. The smoke from the paprika will add depth to your bisque.
3. Pour in the seafood stock and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir in the diced tomatoes and potato, allowing everything to cook together for about 10 minutes, or until the potatoes become tender.
4. Once the potatoes are cooked, add the shrimp, crab meat, and mussels to the pot. Stir gently to combine, then cover and simmer for another 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened and the shrimp are pink and fully cooked.
5. Reduce the heat to low and carefully pour in the heavy cream, stirring to create a rich and creamy texture. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting the flavors to your liking.
6. Remove the pot from heat and stir in the chopped parsley for a pop of freshness.
