Baked Chicken Strips
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (optional, for extra crispiness)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Prepare the Breading Mixture:
In a shallow dish, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Prepare the Egg Wash:
In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
Bread the Chicken Strips:
Dip each chicken strip into the egg wash, letting the excess drip off, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to ensure a good coating.
Arrange on Baking Sheet:
Place the breaded chicken strips on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. For extra crispiness, drizzle olive oil or melted butter over the strips.
Bake:
Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Serve:
Serve the baked chicken strips with your favorite dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, or barbecue sauce.
