DAILY TIP: Use a Waste Bowl to Simplify Cooking and Cleaning
THE PROBLEM
While cooking, vegetable peels and food scraps tend to pile up on your work surface. This clutter not only makes the kitchen look messy but also adds extra time to your post-cooking cleanup.
THE SOLUTION
Keep a small bowl or a “waste bowl” right next to you during meal prep. As you peel, chop, and slice, toss the scraps directly into the bowl. When you’re done, simply empty it into the trash or compost bin in one go.
THE BENEFITS
Keeps your countertop clean and tidy
Speeds up post-cooking cleanup
Minimizes the chance of spills or mess on the floor
BONUS TIP
You don’t need anything fancy. A small plastic container or even a paper bag will do the trick. If you're looking to reduce plastic use, try a reusable bowl that’s easy to rinse and ready for your next meal prep session.
