Indulgent, gooey, and perfectly sweet! This French toast is stuffed with creamy filling, layered with crunchy pecans, and drizzled with syrup for the ultimate breakfast or brunch treat.
Ingredients:
6β8 slices thick bread (brioche or challah)
1/2 cup cream cheese or mascarpone
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup pecans, toasted
3 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Butter for cooking
Maple syrup for serving
Optional: powdered sugar for garnish
Directions:
Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla for the filling.
Spread filling on bread slices and sprinkle with pecans. Top with another slice to form sandwiches.
Whisk eggs, milk, cream, and cinnamon. Dip sandwiches into egg mixture.
Cook on a skillet with butter until golden brown on both sides.
Stack French toast, drizzle with maple syrup, and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
