Salmon Tartare & Cured Yolk for my "Just A Bite" series ep.66! Few things beat a good tartare in my book and I couldn't get enough of the flavors and textures of this. Ingredients: 10 oz sushi grade salmon 1 large shallot (thinly sliced). 1 large russet potato (peeled & thinly sliced). 1 lemon (zest and 1 tsp of the juice). 1/2-1 serrano (minced). 2 tsp capers (minced). 1 tsp caper brine. 2 anchovy filets (turned into a paste). 1 tsp mirin. 2 tbsp chives + more for topping. 1/2 tsp sesame oil. 1.5 tsp japanese mayo. 1 tsp dijon mustard. 1 tsp soy sauce. 2 scallions (chopped). 3 tbsp olive oil. Avocado oil for frying. 2 egg yolks (cured in tamari and mirin).

Ideal for iftar or any time you crave a refreshing indulgence. Try it out and let me know what you think! INGREDIENTS: 1/4 cup tapioca pearls Chopped mangoes, strawberries (add any fruit of your choice) 1 can of coconut milk (I used creamy coconut milk, you can use regular one as well) 1 mango pureed with 2-3 tbsp honey and milk 2-3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (optional) 1/4 cup milk 2-3 tbsp soaked chia seeds Diced watermelon To cook sago: Boilwater and add tapioca pearls, Simmer for about 15 minutes until the tapioca pearls are translucent. After the tapioca pearls have cooked, strain it and rinse it under cold water. Let it stay in the water until it’s time to use. (This way the sago won't turn hard)

Crispy Onion & Herb Dip for my "Just A Bite" series ep.40! It is creamy, full of flavors and delicious textures. I'm using labne because it has the absolute best taste and it is beyond creamy and rich 😍. Ingredients: * 12 oz Karoun Labne. * 3 tbsp chives + more for topping. * 3 tbsp Italian parsley + more for topping. * 1 tbsp fresh dill. * 1/2 tsp garlic powder. * 1/4 tsp white pepper. * 1/2 tsp onion powder. * 1 tbsp mayo. * 1 tsp fresh lemon zest. * 1 tsp honey. * 1 tsp dijon mustard. * Pinch of salt. * 2-3 shallots (thinly shaved). * 1/2 small onion (thinly shaved). * Olive oil for frying. Directions: 1. Add the labne to a bowl with the mayo, mustard, honey, white pepper, garlic powder, lemon zest, pinch of salt, onion powder, parsley, dill and chives. 2. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 2 hours for the flavors to meld. 3. Add the shallots and onion to a saucepan and cover in olive oil. Turn heat to medium high for 2 min, lower to low heat and let them crisp up until lightly golden. The shallots will be crispier and the onions slightly jammier. 4. Layer the dip as shown in the video, dip, fresh parsley & chives and some of the crispy shallots. 5. Serve with chips or bread.
