I’ve been crocheting for about ten years now, and somehow I went from making lumpy scarves to tiny Pokémon with attitude 😄
The other day I put Pikachu, Pichu, and Togepi on this old wooden table in my backyard. Nothing fancy. Just sunlight, a chipped ceramic pot, and three little yarn creatures acting like they own the place
Pikachu came out looking like the responsible one 👀 Sitting there like he’s supervising my stitches. Pichu looks slightly confused, which honestly matches how I feel when I miscount a round for the third time. And Togepi… pure chaos in egg form 🥚✨ I’m pretty sure I made up half the pattern and just hoped for the best.
That’s the thing about crocheting this long. You stop chasing perfect stitches. You start noticing personality instead. The tiny imperfections, the uneven tension, the moments you improvise because you messed up… that’s where the magic is.
I sat there looking at them longer than I’d like to admit.
Three small Pokémon, a quiet backyard, and a craft that still makes me feel like a kid again.
Not bad for a piece of yarn and a hook ❤️
