Hi!!
I'm Amber, and I love to crochet and wear earrings! Here are five additional facts about ME:
1. Coffee is life. I married into a Guatemalan coffee farming family...not FOR the connection, but it is a massive benefit. 😏
2. I'm an English teacher by day (and night). It's been 2 years since I was laid off from a full-time position I "knew" I would retire from. Since then, I've done a lot of part-time work and been humbled over and over. Now, I'm content with my part-time teaching and part-time designing (and crocheting, and tech-editing) positions. God is good through it all, and I have a lot more time for my family these days. ❣️
3. 1 year ago, I lost my mind completely and added 2 bunnies to our household. 🐰🐇They are adorable, but they are also a lot of work. They are sisters and besties, and they love their big brother, Osito (Yorkie mix...and he loves them!) Their names are Pelusa (Fluffy in Spanish) and Luna. You can often peep them in my stories throughout the sunny seasons.
4. I have 2 bonus kids (in their 20s, married with kids), 2 kids (teens), and 6 grandkids (5mos-11years), and I guess I also have a grand pup, but he's on my LIST for yarn maltreatment recently. 🤣🤣 I was honored to be present for the births of my first and most recent grandgirls. All that to say, it can get a bit crazy, and LOUD around Casa Calderón. 😝
5. I'm addicted to audiobooks. I used to be an avid reader before having kids, but my concentration and the pull to multitask has left me very thankful for the rise of the audiobook. I am usually connected to Audible or my Libby app, listening to some sort of fiction.
