Thank you, Kelly, for your order & for being my tester! 💛 She got a Jalapeño Bacon Cheddar & Pesto Mozzarella 😋

And yes, they do look a little on the smaller side — these are technically mini loaves! Soooo stay tuned to see how gorgeous a full-size loaf turns out in these pans 😍

I know I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately & I apologize for that. Did anyone else have a September that was just absolutely INSANE?! 😅

Well… Mother Nature had other plans for me today. 🫠🌧️

I had every intention of prepping dough this morning and having my house smelling wonderful this afternoon… but instead, we — along with SO many others — woke up to water in our basement. 😭

So today’s plans quickly turned into cleaning, drying, moving things and figuring out what comes next.

And truly, if you’re dealing with water in your basement too — finished or not — I feel for you. 💛 Saying lots of prayers for everyone dealing with this mess and navigating what comes next.

Unfortunately, that means sourdough has been put on hold for another day, and I am SO sorry for the delay on orders. 😭 I promise I’ll get your goodies prepped and baked as soon as I possibly can!

As of right now, my plan is to bake Tuesday morning before I head to work. 🤞

I also won’t be taking any additional orders this week. On top of work and this unexpected mess, we have to get the daycare completely cleaned out because we close next week! 🥲

BUT — once we get through this week, I’m so ready to get back into a groove. Shelly’s Sweets will be stocked and custom orders will be OPEN! 🫶

Thank you all SO much for being understanding and flexible with me through all the craziness lately. It truly means more than you know. 💛

Apparently Stella & I are learning that this new chapter comes with a little chaos first. 😂

Sweet, Sweet Sourdough is officially BACK! 🥯🍞

I FINALLY got my Google Forms updated on our drive home 🙌 and ORDERS ARE OPEN for this week!!

Once we get home & get Stella fed, I’ll be right back to baking! 🫶

Spots are limited this week, so get those orders in!

📍 Pickup: Possibly Thursday, but Friday for sure!

One little change: Pickup locations have changed! With daycare officially closed & the daycare house being sold this month 🥲, pickups will now be available at:

📍 Shelly’s Sweets in Newhall
📍 My house just outside of Watkins (not far off Hwy 30!)

So don’t worry, Newhall pickup isn’t going anywhere! 🙌

Seriously…saying I missed this is an understatement. 🥹🍞💛

Getting my hands in dough, adding inclusions with love, my house smelling like absolute goodness, and pulling gorgeous loaves out of the oven… it really doesn’t get much better than that!

It was a small baking haul today, but I was SO dang excited to be back at it. 🫶

A few fresh loaves will be heading to Shelly’s Sweets tomorrow morning — hopefully by 9!

Sadly, I didn’t have enough time to squeeze in bagels or bagel bites this round 🥲 BUT those are absolutely on the list for when we get back home next week!

But it’s September & WE’RE BACK!! 🎉

Stella is fed, in a fresh container & ready to get back to work! 🍞

Custom orders aren’t open quite yet 🥲 because I’ll only be baking tomorrow to get Shelly’s Sweets stocked before Jon & I head to Colorado for a little getaway! 💛

BUT that means you can still get your hands on some fresh sourdough this week! 🙌🏼

Shelly’s Sweets will be stocked Wednesday morning!

Bread lovers, I promise I haven’t forgotten about you 😭💛

I’ve had SO many people reaching out asking when I’ll have bread at Shelly’s, if I have anything on hand, or when they can place an order — and I absolutely HATE having to tell you no. 😭

So first, I’m sorry. And second…please bear with me for just a couple more weeks. 🫶🏻

We are officially down to the final 2.5 weeks of Home Sweet Home Daycare 💔 and right now, my biggest focus has to be soaking up these last days with my kiddos while also somehow packing up 8+ years of daycare, selling things, cleaning things out and getting everything ready for this chapter to close.

With daycare still open, I also just don’t have the flexibility during the day to prep dough like I normally would — and there simply aren’t enough hours in the day right now. 😅

BUT I PROMISE…THIS IS TEMPORARY.

After September 4th, WATCH OUT. 🤩🍞

Custom orders will be much more readily available.
Shelly’s Sweets will be stocked regularly.
And I have some NEW goodies I cannot wait to start working on. 👀🤤

I promise I want to bake for you. I promise it kills me every time I have to say “I can’t this week.” And I promise there is going to be SO. MUCH. BREAD. coming your way very soon. 😂💛

Just bear with me for these last 2.5 weeks while I soak up every last minute with these kids — because as excited as I am for what’s next, my heart is definitely not ready to say goodbye to them. 💔

Thank you for being patient with me, for continuing to ask for my bread, and most of all for being so dang excited for Sweet, Sweet Sourdough.
