Today, we honor freedom, resilience, and the enduring strength of those who fought for equality and justice. Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States learned of their freedom on June 19, 1865—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As we celebrate this important day, let us reflect on our history, appreciate the progress that has been made, and continue working toward a future filled with unity, opportunity, and respect for all.

May we never forget the sacrifices of those who came before us and the courage that continues to inspire generations today.
