One of my favorite things to do whenever Iam at a restaurant that sells burgers and mozzarella sticks.
Inspired years ago by the TGI Fridays Cheesy Bacon Cheese Burger yum.

Cake Recipe:

Dry Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups of king Arthur 1 to 1 GF flour.
2 cups of granulated sugar.
3/4 cup Ghirardelli unsweetened 100% cocoa power.
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt.
Wet ingredients:
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water.
Method:
mix all the dry ingredients,then add wet ingredients apart from the boiling water.mix everything together then add the cup of boiling water and mix again until fully combined.
Divide between two 9 inch round pans that have been buttered and lined with parchment paper, bake at 350F for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.allow to cool fully then decorate and fill as desired.
I filled my cake with home made whipped cream and topped with chocolate ganache and decorated with whipped chocolate ganache piped onto the cake.

WHAT IS YOUR GO TO DESSERT?
This is one of my favorite cakes I made,Chocolate cake with whipped cream wrapped in strawberry buttercream, topped with chocolate ganache and fresh strawberries.
What is your go to dessert of choice? and home made or store bought.
