⚓️Rehabbing boat covers involves repairing covers to EXTEND their life rather than replacing them.
💪Common techniques include restitching seams, replacing broken fasteners, and patching to fix rips.
*We use the proper materials: Threads rot, weaken and break faster than your canvas will fail, so it’s not surprising that seams will break and unravel. You can often get several more years of use out of your canvas by restitching seams. We go over ALL SEAMS and use Tenara thread which is marine-grade, UV-Resistant and has a 10-year warranty to prevent future thread rot.
*Fastener Repair: Replacing old, damaged snaps with new, secure fasteners.
*Fabric Repair: A canvas cover with multiple ripped seams and holes can be repaired to look nearly new. We patch Both Sides: Apply patches to both the inside and outside of the cover for a more durable fix.
Rehabbing your cover can significantly extend its life, often saving the cost of a new custom cover.
