I spent this week with my hands in soil all over town, building custom planters one porch at a time. 🪴🪴🪴🪴
> That's the best part of this work — every design is different because every home is different. No cookie-cutter flats from a big box store, just plants chosen to thrive for you and keep blooming into October.

Quick care reminder because container gardens can’t help themselves:
Your plants live in a contained space. They can’t reach into the ground for water or nutrients, so they’re relying on you for just two things.
1) WATER
Check daily. Poke your finger about an inch into the soil. If it’s dry, water deeply at the base, right on the roots. If it’s still damp, skip it. Try not to shower the leaves and flowers — wet foliage is how disease and mold get started.
2) FOOD
Feed weekly with an organic flower-booster fertilizer. I do mine every Monday. One good feeding a week is enough to keep everything blooming strong.
Do those two things consistently and the combos we planted for you should carry you straight into fall.

PEONY SEASON ALERT 🚨🌸
Summer flower subscriptions are going out NOW from the farm here in Norwood!
This first round is all about the peonies — big, fluffy, smells-like-June peonies. They're the stars for a reason.
A few quick care notes so you get every day out of them:
• Peonies will give you about 10 days in the vase if you treat them right
• Change the water every 2-3 days (fresh water = happy stems)
• Give the ends a fresh snip each time you change water — just a little angle cut
• Keep them out of direct sun and away from fruit bowls
Logistics:
• If you're a subscriber, I'll text you when your bouquet is ready
• No need to be home — I'll always tuck them in a shady spot by your door until you get back
• Got a backlog of vases? Leave them out and I'll happily take them off your hands on the next drop
Thank you for letting me grow for you. Watching these first peonies open feels like the real start of summer.

Spring at Dempsey flower farm = controlled chaos in the best way 💚

• 12 custom planter installs around Norwood
• Planting out 1000+ annuals now that nights are finally warm
• Keeping the chickens safe from Mr. Fox (thank you, Wanda 🐕)
• Trying to remember to water myself between clients 😅
