Thank you Grand Marais for a fantastic weekend of fun, sights, food and good people! My friend Rich Richard Garland was along to help and enjoy in all the goodness of the weekend! I ran into a former student who was also doing the show, one of my second cousins, many folks who had connections to around where I live, a former co-worker, a current co-worker, and fellow artist friends. Many great conversations and connections!Can’t wait to return- hopefully to go after some lake trout up on the Gunflint trail!

Paint chip experiments! These have good potential- still unsure about developing more contrast here-what background? What glaze color for the mug? Best placement in the kiln? All works made with MN Clay woodfire stoneware body, which seems to take on color and flashing well. Listen to the video for full explanation! Thrown down your thoughts and opinions!
