If you’ve never been to Mesa Verde, Colorado… put it on your list. It is absolutely incredible.

When I started OLIVER + CO., I knew I wanted our fragrances to be connected to places I’ve traveled and the memories I’ve brought home with me. Mesa Verde is one of those places that you really have to experience to understand. The drive, the mountains, the trees, the incredible views and then seeing the cliff dwellings in person… pictures honestly don’t do it justice.

So I went back through some of my pictures and videos from our travels there and thought I would share a little bit of what inspired MESA VERDE.

The fragrance is bergamot, heirloom mahogany and soft musk, and it has this beautiful fresh, woody warmth to it. It’s sophisticated, but still very easy to live with…and every time I smell it, it takes me right back to Colorado.

That’s one of my favorite things about fragrance. A smell can bring back a place, a trip or a moment you haven’t thought about in years.

For me, this is MESA VERDE.

Welcome to Oliver’s House—named, of course, after Oliver, our piebald dachshund and the owner and CEO of Oliver Fragrance Co.

We built Oliver’s House during COVID as a pool cabana, and over time it simply became part of our everyday life. It’s where we watch TV, cook out, spend time with friends and family, get a little work done, and quite often find inspiration for Oliver Fragrance Co.

Like our home, it’s an eclectic, collected space. We love to travel, and many of the things you’ll see have been picked up along the way or found at local businesses and independent shops throughout the country. Nothing is meant to match perfectly—we just surround ourselves with things we enjoy and pieces that remind us of places we’ve been.

And, of course, we actually use our products here every day.

There’s usually a Mini Home Diffuser going and different Oliver + Co. candles burning throughout the space. One of the things people often notice when they visit is how the fragrances move and blend together from room to room.

Sometimes we’re asked, “How do you capture all of this in one fragrance?”

The answer is—we don’t.

We’ve never believed you have to choose one fragrance for your entire home. We love giving different rooms their own scent and personality and letting those fragrances layer naturally as you move through the space.

That’s something we encourage you to try at home, too. Mix them. Layer them. Find combinations you love and become your own fragrance designer within your space.

Oliver’s House is simply a little glimpse into our daily lives and how we live with the products we create and believe in.

And yes, Oliver lets us hang out here. After all, it is his house.

If you had told me seven years ago, when I was co-owner of Thomas Blonde, that I’d be where I am today, I’m not sure I would have believed you.

Life has a funny way of working things out.

That experience taught me so much about fragrance, business, and myself. Eventually, I decided to take a different direction and create Oliver + Co.—a fragrance house inspired by my travels, experiences, and the places I’ve loved.

Building something for the second time isn’t necessarily easier, but experience teaches you what matters. One of the biggest lessons has been the importance of surrounding yourself with great people. Our team, customers, retailers, and friends have all played a huge part in getting Oliver + Co. to where it is today.

I’m incredibly grateful to do something I genuinely enjoy every day, from developing fragrances and pouring candles to watching our products become part of people’s homes and lives.

To everyone who has supported Oliver + Co. in any way, thank you. Every order, recommendation, message, and kind word has helped carry this dream forward.

I’m proud of how far we’ve come, grateful to have you with us, and more excited than ever for what’s ahead.
