We have some exciting news to share! Maguno has finished repaying her U.S. Refugee Travel Loan!

When the U.S. approves a refugee to resettle in the country, the government provides an interest-free loan to pay for their travel costs. Once they’ve arrived in the U.S., they are required to begin paying that loan back. As you can imagine, this can be a very difficult debt to repay for someone who arrives with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Thank you for supporting us as we grow - every purchase, every light of a candle, is directly supporting someone to rebuild their life in a safe and nurturing community.
