Art Of A Craftsman

Things are getting CONCRETE around here! 😉👏

Today we’re taking you behind the scenes as our crews pour and finish the concrete for our front stoop and garages!

It may not be the most glamorous part of building a dream home, but these are the moments that bring the vision one step closer to reality!

Every pour, every detail, every phase is another piece of something pretty incredible coming together. And trust us… this home is going to be worth the wait! 🤩

Stay tuned! We have so much more to share as our MOBA Street of Dreams home in Blondo Point continues to take shape!

Andrew Breinig and I had an awesome opportunity this morning to attend the Elkhorn Leadership Breakfast at Relevant Community Church, featuring former Nebraska Volleyball head coach John Cook as the guest speaker. ❤️🏐

And while it may have started a little earlier than either of us prefers to wake up—or function 😂☀️, it was absolutely worth every second.

Such an inspiring message about “The Three Bones”:
🦴 Wishbone — Dream big.
🦴 Backbone — Have the courage and discipline to make it happen.
🦴 Funny bone — Don’t forget to laugh and enjoy the ride.

One line especially stuck with me:
“Stop wearing your wishbone where your backbone ought to be.”

Dreaming is important—but eventually you have to put some backbone behind those dreams and go after them. And through all of it, always use your funny bone. ❤️
Such a great message and a pretty amazing way to start the day!

Thank you so much to Julie Helms with Accent Window Fashions for inviting us to join at your table!

🚨 BIG NEWS from Art of a Craftsman!!! 🚨

Okay… we’ve been keeping this one under wraps, but we can FINALLY make it official. 🎉🥂

ANDREW IS ALL OURS!!! 😂🙌

We are beyond excited to announce that Andrew Breinig has officially joined Art of a Craftsman FULL TIME as our:

✨ DIRECTOR OF DESIGN & CLIENT EXPERIENCE ✨

If you’ve built with us, followed our homes, or been around AOAC for a while, Andrew probably isn’t a new face. He’s been working alongside Art of a Craftsman for YEARS, helping our clients navigate the selections process, pull all those decisions together, and—most importantly—make building a custom home feel a whole lot easier (and way more fun!).

But now?!?

He is officially, exclusively, 100% AOAC. 🏡👏

And we could NOT be more excited about what this means for our clients.

Andrew will be working directly with our homeowners throughout the entire selections and design process—helping pull together finishes, attending appointments, keeping selections organized, answering questions, offering design guidance, and making sure the process of creating a custom home feels FUN instead of overwhelming.

Basically… you get to build a house AND have Andrew help you make it beautiful. 😎

His entire focus is now AOAC clients, AOAC homes, and creating the absolute BEST client experience we can possibly give you.

We’ve worked with Andrew for years. We already know how talented he is. We already know how much our clients love him.

And now we finally get him FULL TIME. 🙌

This is a HUGE step for Art of a Craftsman and one we are ridiculously excited about.

So help us make it official…

🥂 WELCOME HOME, ANDREW! 🥂

We hope you’re ready, because we have A LOT of houses to make pretty. 😂🏡

🚧 DIRT. FORMS. CONCRETE. LET’S BUILD A HOUSE. 💪🏼🏠

No pretty finishes yet… just a whole lot of concrete getting pumped into the ground. 😎

Foundation pour is underway on our newest Blondo Point spec home and this one is officially coming to life!

It may not look glamorous yet, but THIS is where the good stuff starts. 🔥

Built from the ground up. Built the Art of a Craftsman way. 🔨

Stay tuned… this one’s going to be a good one. 👀

Custom isn’t just picking your paint colors. 🏡

It’s the details you probably didn’t even know you wanted until you see them come together.

~The hidden outlets.
~A Skara Brae backsplash that can be backlit.
~The ceiling detail that changes the entire room.
~The perfectly placed lighting on a wood accent wall.
~The extra storage where it actually makes sense.
~A door you found at an antique shop.
~The custom arched cabinetry.
~The materials that give a home character instead of making it feel like every other house on the block.

At Art of a Craftsman, we love the little details just as much as the big ones — because those are usually the things that make a house feel like your home.

Building custom means thinking beyond the floorplan. ✨
