I have had mixed emotions in trying to convey my feelings for this post. (Short versions, as you all know, is not my style.) This is my last post on Facebook as Debi Cagle, owner of Cagle’s Appliance Center.

It has been a long 3-year battle with SBCTA and eminent domain. On June 10, 2024 the case was settled. Of course I was not the winner, and SBCTA being a part of our County Government won their case, not in my favor. My family business will NOT be relocating and officially, after 72 years of serving our community, Cagle’s is no longer in business. I have seen my warehouse being leveled to the ground to make room for the new bus stop. My brother Gary and I have put the retail store on the market for sale. Cagle’s is truly no longer.

SBCTA could not take away my family name. The years of service that my family, my employees, and myself, have provided you, will always be remembered in our hearts. I had the honor of helping all of you, my special customers and friends, some for four generations. That will live on forever, and never be forgotten by you, my family, past and present, and myself.

Once I dealt with my anger, hurt, and frustration, I let my faith take over and as always, God answered my prayers. I received my peace. I will be able to happily retire, enjoying the peace my heart now has. I truly was the “winner” having all of you as my customers and friends for all these years.

SBCTA did not take my inventory. My parts inventory was purchased by Emmanuels Appliance and my appliance inventory, including air conditioners, was purchased by Advanced Appliance Liquidation. This is not a goodbye; this is a thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul. It is not the end, it is just a new beginning.

What a year it has been for the Cagle Family and Cagle’s Appliances. We have had our ups and downs for sure. In May, the sadness of closing our store doors. But in June the family celebrated the birth of the newest Cagle baby born to Mallory Cagle, the great-granddaughter of Aubrey & Lorene. In August, we suffered the passing of Jerry Cagle.

We are so thankful for our friends and loyal customers that have helped us get through these tough times. We still receive nice email notes here and there from our customers, and it brings great joy to us to know that we had a positive influence in your lives, in some small manner. We, unfortunately, still do not have a final resolution on what will be happening with the business. We promised to keep you informed, but there just has not been much news to post.

On a brighter and cheerier note – from the Cagle and extended families, we all want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We had so many changes to our lives in 2023, we are hopeful that we will have many more positive ones to come in 2024! It promises to be an eventful year! Keep the faith and hope! We miss you all!

The Cagle family has lost a member of it's family. We are extremely sorry to let everyone know that on August 31, Jerry Cagle suddenly passed away. As his sister said, it wasn't from a bad heart, but rather a heart that just grew too big from his love for everyone. Jerry was recently made a great-grandfather. You can see by the smile on his face how happy that made him. Jerry will be missed by the entire family, extended family, co-workers and friends. Rest in peace. His grin and laughter will always be remembered and missed.

Dear Loyal Customers,
Today, May 31, is a sad day at Cagles – it is our LAST day of business here at this location. We thank you for your business and support during this difficult time. We have been here in Ontario for 70 years. It is hard to say goodbye – not only to the store and its memories, but to all of our great customers and friends we have made along the way. Reading all the touching comments posted here and other social media sites has touched our hearts. I wanted to personally answer all of you, but emotions and time got in my way.
Our website at www.cagles.com will soon be updated with information on referrals for sales, service, and parts. We have worked extremely hard to find the best referrals for you. Please let them know that you were referred by Cagles.
As any news becomes available about our relocation site, we will be sure to post it both here and on our website.

THANK YOU to all our loyal customers. We would not have made it in business here in Ontario for over 70 years if it was not for you! This is an unsettling time for all of us. We have worked with the San Bernardino County Transit Authority for a long while now, and they have allowed us to continue to operate in our location through May 31. They, the City of Ontario, and many local brokers have been frantically looking for our ideal relocation spot. To date, nothing has been found. We will continue to look and keep you posted on both Facebook and our website.

For right now, we are still selling our in-stock inventory, some items at even below cost! We are open here until May 31. However, we are closing for the Memorial Day holiday, Saturday, May 26-Monday, May 29. Our last two days will be Tuesday and Wednesday, May 30 & 31. Please come by and see us for any of your appliance or parts needs!

To all our loyal Cagles Facebook followers… The SBCTA has taken our warehouse and parking lot by eminent domain and will soon be tearing it down. Currently, we are working towards relocation, but we do not know when and to where. Cagles will be closing all operations of sales, service, and parts at the Campus location as of May 31. Continue to watch this page for future details as well as our website.
Most in-stock inventory is being reduced to sell! We are still open with normal business hours.

Happy Easter everyone! Cagles will be closed on Saturday, April 8, so all employees can spend the weekend with their family for Easter celebrations. We will be back and ready to serve you on Monday morning the 10th at 8:30. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend with friends and family.

Cagles is taking heed of all the warnings for this storm coming in this afternoon and tonight. With our employees scattered about, it is just not safe for them to be on the passes to get here. So we have decided to close for Saturday, February 25, so the employees can stay home and be safe with their families. We will re-open on Monday the 27th at 8:30 am. Thank you for your understanding.

We here at Cagles have been experiencing some issues with our phones and Internet. They went down on Saturday morning and Frontier will be in today, Monday morning, to get us back up and running. We apologize for the delays in being able to respond to you, our loyal customers. We ARE open today from 8:30 - 5:30.

Happy Holidays from the Cagles Appliance team! We want to let you know that we will be closing Friday through Monday (the 23rd through the 26th) for the Christmas holiday. Happy Thanksgiving! Sometimes you may have to look, but there is always something you can be thankful for. Here at Cagles, we are very fortunate to continue to be in business for over 70 years. We have weathered our fair share of “storms” along the way (like the recent pandemic), but we continue to move forward. We are THANKFUL for you, our loyal friends and customers. Without you, we would not be here. We are thankful for our families. We are thankful for the servicemen and women who protect our country. We are thankful for our local heroes – the police, fire, ambulance, hospital workers and all first responders. Where would we be without our great teachers who strive everyday to teach our children. Give thanks to those around you who support you. We all know life is a precious gift. Let people know how thankful you are for them in your lives while you can. HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!
