Just in case you were unable to check out “Pigment of Your Imagination” at the Monmouth Museum (Monmouth Museum) this summer, I wanted to bring it directly to you!

Come join me on this little walk through of the exhibit and let me know what ya think! I wanted to capture this before I took all of the paintings down! I took some closeup videos, but I’m saving that one for at another time!

Be sure to tag a friend or send this to someone who would appreciate seeing all of these paintings I created!

Exhibition: Pigment of your Imagination
Artist: Justin Lefty Lefkowitz ()
Location: The Monmouth Museum (Monmouth Museum)
Total Works on Display: 28 original paintings from my Contemporary Series (27 pictured here)

Last week, I held a workshop at the Monmouth Museum (Monmouth Museum) and it was a blast! I got to meet and create with some familiar faces, and made a bunch of new friends as well! We discussed art, talked about my story, and we made some beautiful butterflies and dinosaurs together! I even brought one of my latest works in progress to show off my process and how I work directly on the canvas to create all my layering and work!
I even let everyone touch the canvas to feel the layering that goes into each and every one of these paintings (with clean hands of course)! I asked the little ones which paintings they liked the most in the gallery and I let them touch the layering on those too! These pieces are truly immersive and it’s fun being able to make these moments happen!

This workshop made me feel grateful - when I tell my story I go through some traumatizing moments from my life, but it helps me. It helps me inspire myself to keep on going because my fight still is not over. I want to inspire others the way I inspire myself. As much as I hate this illness, the truth is that Lyme has helped me grow into the artist that I am today and I’m pretty proud of who I’m becoming.

25 years later… never forgotten and never forget!

We all have our stories about where we were that day or what we were doing, but others can’t tell theirs because they’re no longer with us. It’s on us to tell those stories so they will never be forgotten.

September 11, 2001 will be forever etched into our minds … and as a New Yorker, this day will always hit even harder.

Thank you to those who keep us safe, protect our country and our cities and our first responders especially - they take an oath to go into a burning building to help save people they never even met!

When I first got into painting, I solely painted Americana art - I would donate paintings and help raise funds for Building for America’s Bravest - this is one of the signature programs of Stephen Siller’s Tunnel to Towers Foundation (Tunnel To Towers Foundation) - specifically these funds would go towards building smart homes for military veterans and first responders who have suffered catastrophic injuries and need the assistance!

When I painted this piece, I was thinking of every time I’ve ever passed the Statue of Liberty while riding the Ferry on my way into Manhattan. I get this sense… this belief I can make anything happen. New Yorkers… we think differently. We’re not just Believers… We’re Doers. New Yorkers make it happen. We lost a lot of people who made things happen on this day 25 years back.

Here’s to never forgetting and always telling the stories of those no longer with us… may we never forget.

Look into the forest!! Is that a Disney Princess I see!?! Since it’s World Princess Week, we need to make this week’s Artist Process Friday extra special with a glimpse into the future! I truly believe this painting is going to be my next masterpiece!

I’ve been working on Snow White for the past few months, and luckily she’s just about complete! Maybe just a few more layers of paint and a few hidden Mickeys are needed! You can always tell I’m excited about my pieces when you see me take a selfie with them - I’m really proud of the way this one is shaping up! Time to finish up strong!!

Good Morning from the best “toy” friends in the galaxy, Woody and Buzz! I’m absolutely loving the way these paintings came out! They compliment each other perfectly!

I actually can’t decide which is my favorite between the two. The technical detail on Buzz might put it ahead for me, but they’re neck and neck! Woody is my toughest painting from 2025 and Buzz is my toughest one from 2026!

So between the two, are you team Woody or team Buzz?! I’m definitely more of a Woody guy, but the way Buzz finished up has me in the middle on these two! You can say he’s out of this world (lol).

Painting on the left:

Piece: “too infinity, too beyond (buzz)”
Artist: JLeftyArt Justin lefty lefkowitz
Size: 24x30 inches
Medium: mixed acrylic spray/ domestic paint

Painting on the right:

Piece: “you’ve got a friend in me (woody)”
Artist: JLeftyArt Justin lefty lefkowitz
Size: 24x30 inches
Medium: mixed acrylic spray/ domestic paint

Such a unique, yet classic take on Disney 🙌🏼🙌🏼 everyone needs a Lefty for their collection!! Would love to showcase and participate in Festival of the Arts and Disney shops one day soon!! Let’s make it happen!! And hopefully the next Disney D23 as well!! I know we’re going to make it happen Michael Vargo !! Be sure to check my prior posts for in depth shots into my process!
