We decided to make ourselves a little something special this week 🍷🧀 This board is crafted from Sapele Mahogany and Hickory. The rich, deep tones of the mahogany paired with the light hickory grain make a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful charcuterie spread.

Not for sale this time — just a fun project for us to enjoy (and maybe inspire the next design 😉). Finished, of course, with our Messy Nest Board Butter.

We recently had the privilege of creating a custom Purpleheart chess set for Purple Heart veteran Brian Archer 🇺🇸♟️

The board is handcrafted from Purpleheart and White Hard Maple, chosen for their striking contrast and symbolism — strength, honor, and resilience. The set includes a custom box with the Purple Heart logo laser-engraved on the lid, designed to hold a full set of handmade modern square chess pieces.

Finished with our Messy Nest Board Butter, this project was an absolute honor to create, and we’re deeply grateful for Brian’s service and sacrifice.
