There’s something special about giving an old building a new purpose without losing the character that made it special in the first place. 🤎
Located in downtown Elysian, Elysian Archery occupies a historic building that began as a Buick station & auto repair shop. Over the years, it changed and evolved, eventually becoming the large warehouse space that my clients saw the potential to transform.
Having worked with these clients previously, I was excited to be part of this transformation. What started as an indoor archery range grew into something more - a place where members could bring their families, tournament weekends could be hosted, and the community could gather for coffee, treats and ice cream during public hours. We worked through the layout, finishes, lighting and overall feel of the space to bring that vision together. Their eclectic style and appreciation for old, collected pieces brought so much character to the space, while still allowing the building’s history to shine through.
I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with these clients again and be part of another project as their vision came together. It's especially rewarding to see a building that has been part of downtown Elysian for so many years continue to have a purpose - and now become a place for people to gather, connect and enjoy. 🤎
If you're in the area, I hope you'll take a look at what they've created. You can learn more about Elysian Archery at elysianarchery.com and follow along with what they're doing in the community.
