In college, I spent two summers in Malawi, Africa serving with African Bible Colleges and last night, I got to help celebrate their 50th anniversary by donating over 20 bowls to raise funds for their campus updates and students’ tuition.

No matter where this business goes, I never wanna forget that this is the reason that I do it all… to love and support our neighbors. I’m just vessel in the life the Lord has set before me.

I will always, always be thankful for my time in this country. And smile with a great fondness and a bit of nostalgia as I remember the warm art of Africa. 🤍

Coming to you with a designer-inspired orchid arrangement that took me 10 minutes + $30 in orchids. 🤍

Here’s exactly how I did it:

•Three Orchids — I grabbed mine at Home Depot for $10 each. They are having a sale rn!

• Tin foil — my favorite little florist hack for protecting the inside of the bowl from water stains.

•Spanish moss — mine is from Hobby Lobby (I’ll link it in stories!).

•A little sand — totally optional, but I have a mound of sand in my yard that needs to go 😂. I find that it also helps settle the plants and keeps everything in place.

I’m using our new Large Ruffle Bowl, and I love these for plants because the flat acrylic base makes them so easy to plant in. Perfect for someone who feels like creativity is not their strong suit, because it makes it super easy!

I started by taking the orchids out of their containers — you can absolutely leave them in if you want a little more height, but I wanted mine to sit lower and feel more full.

I added a little sand + some of the mulch that came with the orchids, arranged the plants together, then bundled the orchid sticks to keep everything upright. You can use twine, clips, or whatever you have on hand!

10 minutes later → a hotel-worthy, designer-inspired centerpiece without the designer price tag.
