Nothing says Fall Flowers more than Fresh Cut Locally Grown Heirloom Chrysanthemums! We’d love for you to come out to support our business today at our driveway sale and pick up a bunch of the specialty long stemmed mums for your table and some tulip bulbs to add to your garden! We have all of the colors and these blooms are fabulous! $30 for a generous bunch of mums or $15 for 10 tulips, tax included! 🌸💐🌷

It’s Fall Ya’ll!! 🧡🎃🍂🍁🍃

It is absolutely stunning outside and a great day to enjoy the beauty of Fall! We have a packed schedule and wanted to share some information with you! I received in some gorgeous Halloween flowers today and will be working on some spooky Halloween arrangements! We do have a limited supply and I have a list of customers who have already expressed interest, but if you are interested, please send me a message and I’ll add you to my waitlist! 🧡🖤

We have big news that we will be holding a driveway pop-up on Sunday, November 1st from 1 to 3 PM! The Great Dahlia Dig 🌸 & Tulip Planting 🌷Time is Here!!

The Fall Flip is quite the endeavor in our main gardening bed, transitioning from a sea of dahlias to the home of hundreds (if not thousands) of tulip bulbs that will pop open next Spring. 💐

I had a pinch me moment while looking at these pictures, realizing that I grew all of these flowers! 🌸 I’m so very proud to be able to grow flowers for my own enjoyment and for the community!

We’d love for you to be able to grow some beauty as well and tulips are a great place to start! 💐 You plant them in the fall (now) and in the spring you get beautiful flowers! They are a perennial (come back every year) and are always a flower that I recommend to new gardeners. The key tips are to plant late in the fall season, in an area that doesn’t stay super wet, plant at least 6 inches deep so the critters don’t find them and plant a good amount of them so if a critter does snag one, you won’t even notice! 🌷🌷🌷

It’s soooo MOOOOOOODY! 🖤🖤🖤

My Team & I had the BEST TIME last week at
Craft Collective Palatine for our Moody Fall Floral Arranging Class! We had a sold out event and hope that everyone had a great time creating these artistic arrangements with us while listening to our favorite Moody 90s Queen, Alanis Morissette! 🖤

Halloween Flower Interest? 🎃🧡🖤

With Halloween being on a Saturday this year, I just wanted to check in to see if there’s interest in Halloween flowers! Typically, I don’t offer this as an option, but, if you’re interested, please comment below or send me a direct message and I might put together an order for a smaller group! Tulips are one of my favorite flowers to grow - you plant them now and in the spring you get to enjoy them once the snow melts! 🌷💐💓

Tulip Bulbs!! 🌸🌷💐

Every year at our Fancy Flower Girls Gardens, we plant a few thousand tulips for our spring sales! 💐 We typically order more bulbs than we need, and sell a limited number of tulip bulbs to customers in the fall. Now that we seem to be out of the latest heat wave, it’s going to be the perfect time to plant tulip bulbs!

Hi 👋🏻 I’m Katherine!
I’m the proud Founder and Owner of 🌸 Fancy Flower Girls!

Years ago, I had a dream to work with flowers. I’ve always loved flowers and over the years, really started to rapidly increase my appreciation for florist quality flowers that you would usually only see at events like weddings. When I found out that a lot of these flowers are only available to florists, I wanted to create a company that could help bridge the gap for my local community and be able to provide flower lovers with access to these special, unique flower varieties.

I started by growing a lot of flowers in our Fancy Flower Girls local gardens in Palatine and over the past 5 years, I’ve grown roses, heirloom mums, peonies, dahlias, specialty tulips, lisianthus, zinnias, sunflowers, ranunculus, anemone and more!

I believe all flowers are beautiful, and also have a wonderful group of vendors that I love to work with who can source quality flowers for me from all over the world! 🌎

Running Fancy Flower Girls is not my full-time job. I’m also a Mom of two Beautiful Princesses 💕 and have been an IT professional for almost 20 years. As a Florist, I’m self taught and have followed countless master florists throughout the years to pickup the floral craft.

Not only am I a florist - I’m a website designer, order gatherer, customer service agent, main point of contact, procurement specialist, logistics coordinator, organizer, planner, contract manager, billing specialist, marketing guru, social media lead, relationship builder, and so much more!

Over the years, I’ve built a small team to work with with me through busy times - like events, flower workshops, picking thousands of tulips!

I don’t operate like normal florists, where I have giant coolers filled with flowers every week. I’m a home based business and work with customers on custom requests! 💗
