This foyer already had beautiful architectural features — the arched transom and decorative glass entry doors. My goal wasn't to take away its character, but to give those details a fresh, more intentional setting.
We moved to a lighter, more sophisticated palette: soft white walls with contrasting gray trim carried onto the doors, updated gray flooring, and a runner that draws your eye through the space. The black geometric light fixture adds just enough drama, and a slim console, warm metallic accents, greenery and a mirror finish the entry without crowding it.
The result feels brighter, more current and much more welcoming — and that matters, because your entryway is the first introduction to your home.

Some spaces just need a little imagination. This lanai needed a whole vision.
I saw so much more than an empty screened porch — I saw a true extension of the home, beautiful in the Florida sunshine and just as inviting after the sun goes down.
We created a comfortable conversation area with woven outdoor furnishings, soft neutral upholstery and touches of green that connect the room to the landscape beyond the screens. The oversized round botanical artwork gives that large wall the scale it needed, and the water feature adds peaceful sound and movement.
By day it's bright and airy; by evening, lanterns and accent lighting make it warm and intimate.
That's thoughtful design: not just how a room looks, but how you live in it.

What makes a home feel expensive?
Here’s a little designer secret: it usually isn’t the price tag.
Some of the most beautifully elevated rooms aren’t filled with the most expensive pieces. What makes them feel special is how thoughtfully everything works together.
Scale matters. Furniture that’s properly proportioned to the room immediately makes a space feel more intentional.
Lighting changes everything. I love layering statement fixtures, lamps and accent lighting instead of relying on a single overhead light. It creates warmth, depth and atmosphere.
Window treatments can transform a room. The right length, fullness and placement can make ceilings appear taller and give an otherwise ordinary space a beautifully finished look.
Then come the layers—texture, artwork, greenery, accessories and those smaller finishing details that make a room feel collected rather than simply furnished.
But one of the most important elements is restraint. Good design isn’t about filling every corner. Sometimes knowing what not to add is what allows everything else to shine.
To me, luxury is a home that feels cohesive, comfortable and thoughtfully designed for the people who actually live there.

There’s something special about taking a room with beautiful bones and giving it a whole new personality.
This dining room already had wonderful architectural details—the arched window, high ceilings and classic wall molding—but it needed warmth, purpose and a design that made the space feel complete.
For the redesign, we created a more polished black, white and soft gray palette while working with those existing architectural features rather than competing with them. The round dining table creates a natural gathering place, while the upholstered chairs soften the room and add comfort. A bold circular rug anchors the entire dining area and beautifully echoes the shape of that gorgeous arched window.
We also updated the lighting with a sleek statement fixture, added plantation shutters for a cleaner, more tailored look, and finished the room with thoughtful table styling and decorative details.
It’s a great example of what I love about design: you don’t always have to change everything to completely change how a room feels.
