A rainy day on 30A brings its own kind of beauty.

We’re at Peddlers Pavilion today with our collection. And a little rain only makes our shells and coral come to life.

A delicate wonder of the open ocean, the Brown Paper Nautilus is one of nature’s most extraordinary creations. Despite its shell-like appearance, this fragile structure is not a true shell at all, but an eggcase created by a female octopus to cradle and protect her developing young.
Unlike most octopuses that live along the seafloor, the Brown Paper Nautilus spends its life drifting through tropical and subtropical waters. The female secretes this remarkably thin, porcelain-like case from specialized arms, creating a temporary sanctuary for her eggs before they hatch.

Common Name: Brown Paper Nautilus
Scientific Name: Argonauta hians
Origin: Tropical & subtropical oceans worldwide
Maximum Size: 4.7 in (12 cm)

An elegant pairing of a Florida Lightning Whelk and Caribbean Crown Conch, each shaped by the waters they call home, yet perfectly complementing one another through their striking contrast of light and dark.

These exquisite shells are now making their way to a new home in Arizona, where they can be admired for years to come. ❤️

Our first batch of six Lion’s Paw Dishes has found new homes, and the final piece is now making its way to the beautiful Emerald Coast of Destin, Florida.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has welcomed a piece of our work into their home.

A new creation is already in the works and will be revealed soon. 🪸
