Christmas art.

A few personal items that I framed inexpensively over the last few years.
Feature my husband’s childhood stocking and my children’s art work.

Mystery plates.

My eldest daughter gifted me with these beautiful plates from a favorite thrifting spot. I’d been eyeing them for several months now and she went back to purchase.

It’s a set of twelve with a gorgeous turquoise blue trim.

Now the fun begins- determining the maker and pattern!! They are stamped Germany on the back. Also a few random numbers, I my youngest daughter pointed out. {it’s a family thing}

Google lens has popped up very similar patterns and following a lead with a single plate being sold on .
The listing has a lot of detail but the flowers were different and then I realized I had not scrutinized ALL 12 plates! So here I am realizing there are two patterns, very similar but one has a pink flower and the other a baby blue flower to set them apart.
So I have 7 blue and 5 pink! 🩵

Who knew reading all those Nancy Drew & Hardy Boy books would make me a detective?!

THIS! Just one of the thrills of buying vintage. The hunt is only part of it…the mystery unfolding, another. Lastly, the seeking of more knowledge and more matching pieces!! Stay tuned.
