Working on a garden takes time, patience and lots of experimentation and even more determination …. But, I get it now…..all those pearls of wisdom from gardeners past and present about understanding the vibrancy of the soil, positioning,
aspect and planning for the future . For now I am loving the juxtaposition of form and free flow from a new garden gate & fence , painted the same color as Owl Hollow Barn and in particular the self seeding Verbena Bonariensis and the wonderful pollinator Echinacea Purpurea …luxuriating in the heat and positioning of the wide herbaceous border . Inspired by my English roots & love of country gardens . Of special note is that these plants do not need to be irrigated, so we are not wasting precious water on plants not accustomed to our East End climate . Much more to come but a snap shot of early July 2021 & a memory of the transformation of these historical gardens, that inspire us endlessly at Morgan & Kydd Studios .

Wonderful morning spent on shoot with at Owl Hallow Barn & looking forward to sharing Doug’s photos in a later post this week for my new exclusive rental listing and my website ; but I
couldn’t wait to share a first glimpse of NEW Morgan & Kydd signed 26” x 40” über spare & bold Floral paintings by , using oil paint on gesso .
I absolutely LOVE this new work and launch of Morgan & Kydd HOME products . Simple & Bold, inspired by nature, with a love of neutral colors . I feel incredibly fortunate to have a working artist in the house, and the smell of oil paint and linseed oil permeating the hallways

Moving to the North Fork enabled us to launch our business, surrounded by the wonderful historic and natural environment of The Old King Farmhouse and our barn , affectionately named Owl Hollow Barn, for the wonderful owls that also call this special place home .
