The Phat Hen I live in rural North Dakota, close to the Canadian & Minnesota border. My husband farms (4 generation) small grains and raises beef cattle.

Another bountiful garden harvest.
Iā€™m thinking we may get another picking off the green beans.

And a few more weeks of cucumbers! Iā€™m actually picking them every few days so we may have some small pickling cukes ready to be turned into some shelf stable pickles.

Back to work today! In a classroom.
It was rough, but I survived.
And I donā€™t even have any students yetšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚.

Got home took the ranger to the wheat field to pick up little man Ripp from his farming classroom, the combine.

Now to dehydrate a load of herbs, start some laundry, finish supper, and hopefully get the second picking of green beans picked.

And label some products for the farm stand.

Check out the Griswold castiron cornbread pan. I didnā€™t buy it, but maybe Iā€™ll go back? I have never seen cornbread bak...

His birthday falls during the month where sunflowers are in bloom, so every birthday party the main decor is freshly cut flowers.

He may be a boy but he loves sunflowers and John Deere tractors.
