Standing proudly over the waters of Duxbury Bay, the Powder Point Bridge has been connecting people, places, and memories for well over a century.
Originally built in 1892 (rebuilt in 1986) this iconic wooden bridge remains one of the longest timber bridges in the United States—a true piece of New England history. From summer strolls and bike rides to generations of families crossing its planks on their way to the beach, it has become much more than a bridge. It’s a landmark woven into the story of Duxbury.
Some structures simply stand the test of time. The Powder Point Bridge continues to remind us of the craftsmanship, character, and coastal charm that make New England so special.
