Yesterday was cutting day! Have you ever been jealous of the cutting table at the fabric store?! I’m sure others have thought of this but figured I’d share what I’ve been doing. If you have a table with a leaf, just separate the table a little and use it as a cutting guide. It has made my life so much easier!! Now.....time for some sewing masks! Let me know if you need any!🧵 😷

Stacks of masks cut, seamed, and waiting for elastic to come in. So far we have been getting and using elastic as it has been donated. Every time we run out, someone else donates some. I ordered a big roll from Amazon the day that I started making masks and that still hasn’t come. I ordered a big roll from Walmart and the order was cancelled through the company a couple days later. On Thursday I scoured Etsy for it. Most place we’re sending from China and the estimated delivery was at least three weeks. I finally found a shop from LA that had it!!!! Yay! They mailed it on Thursday and it is out for delivery today!!

Masking away today!!! A big thanks to for teaching me the ins and outs to a sewing machine. I’m quite crafty and like doing all sorts of things but just never mastered the sewing machine. I still wouldn’t say I’ve mastered it but I can figure out where something has gone wrong and keep moving along.

I bought these pinking shears two months ago for my business to make fabric labels. Never imagined I would get this much use out of them. I’ve probably cut 400+ masks worth of material out of them with tons of fabric left to do!!
