Well it’s official The Deranged Locket just adopted/rescued a new studio friend his name is Otis. Otis was rescued from my local thrift shop , he isn’t in great condition but he’s amazing and he’s going to keep all my brushes safe and sound for me until I use them. His new job is to help keep them safe so I don’t lose them or forget where they go ;) so say hello to my new guy Otis ;) more pics to come once I find a spot for him in the studio ;) Do you have studio helpers? Or non typical items you use in your art space? I have all types of weird things because thrifting is one of my other passions and I always have to rescue something and it helps me in my studio lol I’ve got bird jars full of buttons, vintage tins full of ephemera and stuff, old cool purses turn into art to go bags lol, I even found a vintage caboodle once that I use for an art in the car kit during the warmer months ;) I use random things for things so tell me in the comments what do you have or use?

Time to remember who you are, your own personal magic that lives and breathes and burns fire through your veins… Remember your souls calling, what resides in your heart. Time to remember to be grateful and humble for exactly where you are right now!! Creativity is in my DNA and today I just free flowed within the pages of my personal journal one of very many that I own!! Working slowly as the mood strokes page by page , bit by bit, learning to appreciate my own makings, hand written words, doodles and such. Letting the paper tell me its story is how I write in my journals ;)
