An early morning walk always does the trick when things are heavy at home.⁣

Our painter discovered a damp spot on the ceiling in the living room which is directly below the 2nd floor bathroom we just had remodeled. We have a plumber coming to take a look this afternoon but of course my mind has already jumped to all the worst case scenarios, as it does.⁣
⁣
It feels like such a dark time in history on so many levels right now (war overseas, war on reproduction rights, formula shortages, inflation, a global pandemic…the list goes on).⁣
⁣
It’s doesn’t always feel like the best time to be bringing a new life into this world. But she’ll be here before we know it and at the end of it all, we just have to keep pushing forward 💓⁣

Look at this treasure we found!

Peter has been doing a ton of work in the basement the past couple of weeks and found this old whiskey bottle up in one of the rafters!

After a quick google search I learned, Andrew Forbes & Co. was a pre-prohibition distiller, aka, “The Practical Distiller”, located in Philadelphia, PA from 1893-1918.

This is super interesting because our house wasn’t built until 1929, so was this bottle stowed away during the prohibition years?!

I love finding these little gems, they bring some excitement to our big dusty and dirty projects!
