It’s the never ending

When I visit Ground Zero, I'm always struck by the quiet power of the memorial- and what it says about design.

Design won't undo loss. But it can give grief visual expression and create unity through shared experience.

It gives a way to reflect, and a way to look ahead.

I ❤️ NY.

A little warning to my future clients… 🚨🐆

We may start by talking about your home, but somewhere between the paint colors, furniture, layouts and all those decisions you’ve been second-guessing, something else tends to happen.

You start trusting yourself.

You get clearer about what you love, what you need, and what you’re finally ready to let go of.

Because good design isn’t just about creating a beautiful space. It’s about creating a home that supports the way you want to live.

And sometimes the biggest design decision is simply deciding you’re done settling.

Side effects may include more confidence, more peace, and wondering why you waited so long. ✨

I thought I became a designer because I loved beautiful homes.

Turns out, the rooms were never really the whole story.

It’s about creating spaces that support who we are now- and who we’re becoming next.

Beautiful homes, yes.

But even more than that?

Beautiful lives. 🤎

Pinterest shows us the dream.

The budget tells us which version of the dream we’re designing. 😂

That doesn’t mean settling. It means identifying what matters most, spending strategically and creating something beautiful within the real-life parameters.

Designers don’t kill the dream. We translate it.

Inspiration doesn’t always arrive while you’re sitting at your desk.

Sometimes you have to go looking for it-or step into a room filled with a dancing swarm of fireflies and let it find you. ✨

The Phoenix Art Museum is one of my favorite places to recharge, wander and remember that creativity doesn’t always require an agenda- or in my case, a contract.

Where are you finding inspiration this weekend?

Unpopular design advice: Don’t decorate for fall.

At least- not yet.

Before you buy another pumpkin, plaid throw or cinnamon-scented something, decide how you want this season to feel and what goals and habits you want to support.

Then use that feeling to guide what you bring into your home- and what you make room for in your life.

That’s a Fall Design Reset: not simply changing the decorations, but creating a vision for the season you actually want to experience.

My free Fall Space Reset guide and Canva mood-board template will help you:

🍂 Choose your three feeling words
🍂 Create a visual direction
🍂 Turn that vision into practical changes for your home and life

Grab it free at the link below.

And tell me: What are your three words for fall?
