Dawdling in the garden after last night's cleansing rain. Remembering why I love it and reminding myself that faltering isn't failing. There's still some beauty at the end of the long hot summer. There's still hope for next season. In God's timing ...walking within His will. 🙏

I caught someone praying this morning.

Psalm 23

23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in [b]green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;

I love this bed of echinacea. I grew it from seed. Last year it survived but didn't thrive or flower. This year it is beautiful. I'm glad I didn't give up on it. People are the same. You don't always see growth and blossoming right away. But don't give up. Jesus is doing a work in them.

Watering takes a lot of time right now. Yes, we really need a better solution... BUT it makes me slow down and notice the garden visitors, like this one ❤️
